So I've been using Photoshop CS2 since I was in college (upgrade version, my base is PS6. oo;;; ), but now that I have a Windows 8 computer, it's screwing up all over the place.
At first it was just goofs when I would try to select a new color; I'd get an error that I could just click "OK" on and it'd go away.
Now, when I pick a color, all the pallets go away and I'm left with my canvas. Granted, clicking on the top bar of the canvas or on the "File" bar makes them reappear, but it's frickin' annoying to have to do that every time.
Also, (and probably the most annoying part of it), last night my text tool stopped working. I tried again today and it worked, but if this just keeps going down hill, I'm gonna need to find something else. ><
Anybody know of any programs (besides GIMP) that function closely to Photoshop and have text and pixel tools? I love drawing in SAI, but I need something that can do text. I don't like SAI's binary tool (seriously, how the freak does it work?!), and I do my pixeling in Photoshop with my mouse.
Speaking of GIMP (since I mentioned it briefly) - do any of you use that as your go-to art program? If so, does it function more closely to PS now? I had tried it years ago and hated it. It looked like PS, but it was just different enough that it confused the heck out of me. @@;
